RTA associate professor Steven Ehrlick had no idea what he was signing up for when he was approached by RTA Chair Charles Falzon to draft a letter of intent in the summer of 2011 for the future Sport Media program.

"If I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have done it," said Ehrlick.  "It would have seemed too daunting a task."

To his credit, Ehrlick stuck with the program, working diligently over a two-year period to create the 120-page proposal that was instrumental in the Sport Media program gaining approval from the Ryerson Senate. It still has a ways to go before the program's part of the Ryerson offering, but just how did Ehrlick make the big step?
